It is an infectious disease caused by a Newly Discovered coronavirus.

Q4. When and where did this outbreak start?

 The outbreak started in December 2019 from Wuhan, China.

Q5. What are the symptoms of novel coronavirus 19 disease?

 The symptoms of the disease are fever, cough, nasal congestion, running nose and sore throats.

Q6. Does everyone infected with the virus get the disease?

Not every person who comes in contact with the virus develops the disease. People with good immunity may get infected but may not develop symptoms or illness.

 Q7 What is the recovery rate?

 More than 80% of people infected recover from the disease

Q8. Who are more at risk and who developed serious disease?

Only one person out of 6 persons infected develop serious illness and region hospitalization people with underlining disease like hypertension diabetes, heart disease, asthma developed serious illness. Elderly people and children are at risk of developing serious illness

Q9. When should you see a doctor?

 If you develop symptoms like fever cough and difficulty in breathing you should seek medical treatment

Q10. How does coronavirus spreads?

It spreads through respiratory droplets of an infected person.

 

Q11. How can spread of Coronavirus be prevented?

Following precaution should be taken to prevent spread of Coronavirus:

  1. Proper and regular and hygiene
  2. Cough etiquettes
  3. Maintaining 1-meter distance or following social disturbance
  4. Avoid touching nose eyes and mouth
  5. If you feel unwell home quarantine yourself
  6.  If you develop severe symptoms seek medical attention
  7.  keep updates from authentic source

Q12. Is there any treatment available to coronavirus?

No there is no treatment available however symptomatic treatment is recommended

Q13. Is there a vaccine/drug available?

There is no vaccine or drug available for treatment of novel coronavirus.

Q14. When should you use a mask?

One should use mark. If you develop illness

Q15. How long does the virus survive on the surface and what it is incubation period

The virus may survive for few hours to several days. The incubation periods is 14 days

Q16. What should I not do?

If you have a Positive contact to travel history, you should not visit places quarantine yourself if you develop symptom you should not visit places or came in contact with other individuals if you develop sever illness you should not stay at home
